Rooted In Intelligence

No.  3

This series explores the intersection of biology and algorithmic design, where growth and decision-making are shaped by environmental factors.

Influenced by Charles Darwin's "root brain" theory and Merlin Sheldrake's descriptions on fungal intelligence,

The series reflects on the intelligence embedded in nature as systems of active forces and explores the dynamic relationship between internal energy and external stimuli.

As the Latin root of the word "intelligence" means "to choose between", the 3 artworks are constructed and simulated with individually programmed behavior, ranging from stimuli from light, transportation of nutrients to new parts of expansion, environmental turbulence and much more, to simulate how the organism adapts and makes choices.
